Dr. Andrew Giles

Principal Lecturer

Andrew Giles, Australian-born and trained, has a wide-ranging CV, giving him a great breadth of experience.

"...isolated rural GeneralPractice in Australia for five years. The Solomon Islands in a mission hospital, five years of surgical experience, 3 years of administration, and finally Emergency Medicine specialist training!"

"I worked in the UK as a fairly recently qualified consultant, and saw that there was a degree of anxiety and a general lack of confidence among Junior doctors in A&E Departments, where a lot is expected of them."

"In Australia, there is possibly the best EM training programme in the world. I believe that a course in acute medicine with a practical 'what to do next' approach, taught by experienced consultants specifically trained in this area, will be well received.".

Other lecturers vary from course to course, and will be advised closer to time.
